Following the opening of Joseph Keeler’s store in 1819, small businesses proceeded to form the community of Colborne. With the later arrival of a harbor and railway Colborne’s position as a business hub was cemented in its place. Colborne is the largest town in all of Cramahe boasting the seat of the Township.
